We don't sell your data. Ever. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and exactly what we do with it.
RideIntel is a route intelligence tool for cyclists. You upload a GPX or FIT file, we generate a written brief about your route — the climbs, the history, the best café at the halfway point. This policy covers what data we handle in the process of doing that.
When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. We never see your actual password — Supabase, our account infrastructure provider, handles password hashing securely. If you tell us your name and region at signup we store those too.
When you generate a brief we collect metadata about the route: distance, elevation gain, region, surface type, climb count, and file type (GPX or FIT). We do not store your raw GPX or FIT file. The coordinate data is sent to our processing services to generate your brief, then discarded. We do not build a permanent record of where you ride.
When you rate a brief (thumbs up or down) we store that rating. This is the most valuable signal we have for improving brief quality and we take it seriously.
Session and usage data — when you logged in, which features you used, how long brief generation took. This is operational data used to keep the product running reliably and to understand what's working.
We use your email address to send you account-related messages: password resets, receipts if you subscribe, and important product updates when something significant changes. These are operational messages, not marketing.
If you opted in at signup, we use your region to send occasional route recommendations and cycling news relevant to where you ride. You can change this at any time in your account settings or by emailing info@rideintel.ai.
We use aggregated, anonymous route metadata — region, distance, terrain type — to understand cycling patterns and to develop partnerships with regional tourism and cycling organisations. This data contains no personal information and cannot be traced back to you individually.
We use Anthropic's API to generate your route brief. Your route's coordinates, elevation profile, and geographic context are sent to Anthropic for AI processing. Anthropic's own privacy policy applies to that processing. We do not share your personal account information with Anthropic — only the route data needed to generate the brief.
We use Supabase to store your account data and route history. Their infrastructure runs on AWS in the United States. Supabase's privacy policy applies to data stored on their platform.
We use Strava's API if you choose to connect your Strava account to import routes or activities. If you use this feature, Strava's privacy policy applies to the data they provide. We do not share your RideIntel activity back to Strava.
We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party beyond the processors listed above.
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information — email, name, region, and usage history — within 30 days. Aggregated anonymous route statistics (region counts, brief quality averages) may be retained as they contain no personal data.
Brief content you've saved to your vault is deleted when you delete your account or when you manually delete an individual brief.
You can export your data, update your information, change your marketing preferences, or delete your account at any time from your account settings within the app.
If you're in the UK or European Union you have additional rights under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, including:
To exercise any of these rights, email info@rideintel.ai. We'll respond within 30 days.
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in between visits. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
RideIntel is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us at info@rideintel.ai and we will delete the account promptly.
If we make material changes to this policy we'll notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect, and we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use RideIntel after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
